Announcing NEAIR 2019 Summer Workshops

NEAIR is pleased to present 2019 Summer Workshops tailored to the needs of IR professionals. Creating this lineup has a lot of art to it because we want to help our members to stay agile in a changing higher education environment. The workshops will be taught by your colleagues with a wealth of experience in the field.

This year, just as in previous years, we will have a full-day session for "Newcomers to Institutional Research" who want to learn what IR is all about and what skills and tools are needed to perform the work.

But we are also excited to offer "An Introduction to Design Thinking," a design methodology for creative problem solving. Our colleagues from Boston College will lead the participants through the design thinking process to emerge with actionable ideas that could be implemented by an IR/IE office.

The authors of another exciting workshop, "Data Governance: What works and what does not work" will share with participants many nuances of implementing the data governance practices at institutions, large or small. This workshop will be valuable even if you just need to refresh your way of thinking about data governance.

Also, by realizing how important it is to communicate information and data to stakeholders effectively, we will be offering data visualization sessions. For the full workshop listing, please visit 2019 Summer Workshops on NEAIR website.

Excited? Then, keep your eyes open for registration, which will launch on June 1st.  Feel free to email Diana Danelian at d.danelian@northeastern.edu if you have any questions.

We look forward to seeing you at Bridgewater State University on July 26th!

All the best,
