Friendliness and collegiality are crucial to the conference experience. Conference planners prioritize mentoring, networking, and other means to get involved and connected.
If you are new to the IR field, be sure to join the Newcomers 411 under Monday's Brown Bag Discussions. Get some insider resources, ask an experienced IR person you pressing questions, and meet other colleagues who are new to IR.
If you are new to NEAIR, Navigating NEAIR: A Newcomer's Toolkit might be perfect for you. Meet fellow new members and get insider tips from NEAIR leadership on how to make the most of your membership. Also learn about professional development opportunities available through NEAIR, applying for conference and research grants, volunteer positions, and how to connect with a community of IR professionals from the northeast region. New members will also have the opportunity to win some great raffle prizes. This session is free and will be held Sunday, November 15th from 6 to 7pm, so make sure to sign up when registering for the conference.
Program content and networking are the two top reasons conference attendees choose to participate in a particular conference. While you're at the conference, you can connect with folks at any point. We suggest joining a virtual meet-up or starting your own ! Be sure to update your Whova profile, and add your LinkedIn address so others can connect with you.

Due to the financial impact caused by the pandemic, NEAIR Leadership decided to reduce workshop and conference registration fees to one-third of the original costs. The NEAIR 2020 virtual conference will now cost $130. A NEAIR membership is required for registration ($85).
Schedule of Fees
Yes, an active NEAIR membership is required. The Membership Fee is $85 and provides many membership benefits. To make it easier, we have included the ability to add a NEAIR membership as part of the conference registration process.
Conference sponsorship reduces conference registration fees. Some sponsorship levels enable sponsors to send pre and post-conference emails to conference registrants through the NEAIR mail server. After the conference, you may receive additional information about sponsorship products and services, but you can delete or unsubscribe if you are not interested in receiving these emails.
NEAIR is excited to announce that we will be using Whova again for our virtual conference. This app was chosen based on suggestions and feedback from last year's conference, and because Whova pivoted to a web-interface with the following applications:
- session search by keyword, presenter, and room
- create a personalized schedule to keep track of your must-see sessions
- take your notes and complete evaluations within the app
- search for and connect with other attendees
- join virtual meet-ups with our sponsors
- post topic discussions
- have a virtual chat with a colleague
