Prerequisites:
To participate in this workshop, an attendee will need to:

1. Have a working knowledge of national level survey instruments such as the NSSE, HEDS, etc.  

Description:
This workshop will focus on reviewing findings from national level surveys and how to use the data to improve campus climate. National surveys that will be discussed include:
  • NSSE
  • Core Drug and Alcohol Survey
  • HEDS Student and Faculty/Staff Sexual Assault Survey
  • Diverse Learning Environments Survey
  • Wellbeing Collaborative Assessment

Examples on how to use assessment data to improve campus climate will be shared. Strategies to identify and overcome institutional obstacles will also be discussed.
 
Intended Learning Outcomes: 
Participants in this workshop will:

1. Understand the value of assessment.
2. Gain insight on how to overcome institutional obstacles.
3. Learn how two institutions have used assessment data to improve campus climate.
4. Develop strategies on how to use data to improve campus climate on your campus.
